Pineapple Cream Cheese Pretzel Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup crushed pretzels
1-¼ cup sugar, divided (½ cup, ½
cup, & ¼ cup)
1 stick butter, melted
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 8-ounce container cool whip
1 large can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Procedure:
- Combine crushed pretzels, ½
cup sugar, and melted butter.
- Mix well.
- Press firmly into sprayed or buttered 8x8x2 dish.
- Mix cream cheese, cool whip, and ½
cup sugar with mixer until smooth.
- Spread over pretzel mixture.
- In a saucepan, cook pineapple, cornstarch, and ¼
cup sugar, stirring, until very thick.
- Spread on top of cream cheese mixture.
- Chill.
