Simple Sweet Potatoe Pie
Ingredients:
1 29-ounce can sweet potatoes, drained
1 teaspoon salt
¼ tablespoon ground
cloves
1 9-inch pie shell
2 eggs
Procedure:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and stir in sweet potatoes, sugar, salt
and spice blend.
- Add evaporated milk and mix well.
- Transfer to pie shell.
- Bake at 400° F
for 10 minutes.
- Reduce temperature to 350° F
and bake 50 minutes.
- Test doneness by inserting a knife tip in the center.
- Pie is done if it comes out clean.
