Oven-Baked Deer
 
 
Ingredients:
 
Deer meat, any cut
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
cup oil
water
 
 
Procedure:
  • Place meat in a single layer in baking pan.
  • Sprinkle on salt and pepper.
  • Add enough water to cover bottom of pan.
  • Pour in oil.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake 250-300 F (slow oven) for several hours, turning every hour or so, until tender.  The longer you bake the meat, the more tender it will be.
  • Remove cover to brown.
