Fried Deer Steaks
Deer steaks, cut ½-inch thick
¼ cup oil
- Pour oil in bottom of skillet. Do not preheat skillet.
- Place deer meat in skillet, and barely cover the meat with water.
- Cook on medium heat, turning occasionally, allowing the water to boil away.
Check meat for tenderness, and if necessary, add more water periodically.
- After the meat is very tender, allow water to boil away, leaving the
meat to brown in the oil.
- Turn to brown on both sides.
