Caramel Cake
 
 
Ingredients:
 
1-¾ cup cake flour
1 cup brown sugar

½ cup butter, softened

3 eggs
¾ cup milk

½ teaspoon salt

1-¾ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
 
Procedure:
  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • In a large bowl, sift the flour and brown sugar together.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Beat for 3 minutes.
  • Divide batter evenly between two greased round cake pans.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Carefully remove partially cooled cakes from pans. 
  • Cool completely.
  • Frost with Caramel Frosting
  • Frost top side of one layer.  Carefully place the other layer on top.  Frost sides and top.
