There are so many new casserole recipes out there these days, I had to look through every cookbook I have for this tuna casserole recipe.  Somewhere over the years, most of the recipes have lost the noodles and peas, and replaced them with rice or some other ingredient.

Old-Fashioned Tuna Casserole
 
 
Ingredients:

1 package egg noodles
1 can peas
1 can tuna
1 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup cream
½ cup chopped onion
American cheese for top, shredded

 
Procedure:

  • Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water until tender.
  • Drain. 
  • Mix together all ingredients except cheese. 
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. 
  • Bake, covered, in a 350° F oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
