so many new casserole recipes out there these days, I had to look through every cookbook I have for this tuna casserole
recipe. Somewhere over the years, most of the recipes have lost the noodles and peas, and replaced them with rice or
some other ingredient.
Old-Fashioned Tuna Casserole
1 package egg noodles
1 can peas
1 can tuna
1 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste
½ cup cream
½ cup chopped
American cheese for top, shredded
- Cook egg noodles in boiling salted water until tender.
- Mix together all ingredients except cheese.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake, covered, in a 350° F
oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
