Simple Sweet Potatoe Pie
 
 
Ingredients:
 
1 29-ounce can sweet potatoes, drained

½ cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

¼ tablespoon cinnamon

¼ tablespoon ground cloves

¼ tablespoon nutmeg

¼ tablespoon allspice

1 9-inch pie shell
2 eggs

cup evaporated milk

 
 
Procedure:
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and stir in sweet potatoes, sugar, salt and spice blend.
  • Add evaporated milk and mix well.
  • Transfer to pie shell.
  • Bake at 400° F for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce temperature to 350° F and bake 50 minutes.
  • Test doneness by inserting a knife tip in the center.
  • Pie is done if it comes out clean.
