Spicy Peach Nut Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons softened butter
1 16-ounce can sliced peaches, drained, reserve syrup
2 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
Procedure:
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, soda, and ground cloves.
- Mix in softened butter, reserved syrup, eggs, and peaches with mixer
on slow speed, until blended.
- Turn to medium speed and beat 2 minutes.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake at 350° F
for 60-70 minutes.
- Cool 15 minutes, remove from pan, and let cool completely.
