Special Brussels Sprouts
 
 
Ingredients:
 
1 tablespoons melted butter
½ cup chopped celery
¼ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
1 cup canned tomatoes
2 cups cooked brussels sprouts
Bread or cracker crumbs for top
 
 
Procedure:
  • In a frying pan, cook celery and onion in butter until tender.
  • In a greased casserole, layer the following:  ½ cup tomatoes, 1 cup brussels sprouts, ½ of the celery-onion mixture.
  • Repeat layer.
  • Top with bread crumbs.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Bake at 325° F for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly.
