Basic Dumplings
 
 
Ingredients:
 
2 cups sifted flour
4 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup milk
 
 
Ingredients:
  • In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Add milk gradually.
  • Drop dough by heaping teaspoon into boiling broth or stew, using more or less to get the size dumplings you desire.
  • Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the dumplings, until they are done inside.
