Cracklin' Cornbread
 
Ingredients:
 
2 cups cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda

½ teaspoon salt

buttermilk
1½ cup chopped cracklings
 
 
 
Procedure:
  • Mix first four ingredients together.
  • Add enough buttermilk to get a heavy gravy-like consistency.
  • Fold in cracklings.
  • Bake at 350° F until brown.
