3 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups white Karo syrup
6 cups cream
4 T. butter
  • Mix all ingredients together and cook to hard-crack stage, stirring constantly. 
  • Add 1 t. vanilla and cool several minutes.
  • Beat hard until it loses its glossy quality.
  • Pour out onto a large, buttered baking sheet.
  • Cool and cut.
