Freezing Apples

Ingredients:

  • 50 pounds of apples will make 35 frozen pints.
  • Quarter or slice apples into a solution of ½ cup salt per 1 gallon of water.
  • Dunk them into boiling water for 1½ to 2 minutes.
  • Drain the apples, rinse under cold water, then drain again.
  • Pack into freezer container, leave headspace, and freeze.
