Canned Maple-Walnut Ice Cream Topping
1 cup maple syrup
1 ¼ cup corn
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
2 cups chopped walnuts
- Mix all ingredients except walnuts, together in a saucepan.
- Boil, stirring periodically.
- After it has begun boiling, add walnut pieces, stir in well.
- Reduce heat to a simmer, and let cook 15 minutes or until as thick as you
- Ladle hot syrup into hot jars, leaving ¼-inch
- Adjust lids.
- Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
- Remove to cool and allow to seal.
