Canned Maple-Walnut Ice Cream Topping
 
 
Ingredients:
 
1 cup maple syrup
1 ¼ cup corn syrup
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
2 cups chopped walnuts
 
 
Procedure:
  • Mix all ingredients except walnuts, together in a saucepan.
  • Boil, stirring periodically.
  • After it has begun boiling, add walnut pieces, stir in well.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer, and let cook 15 minutes or until as thick as you desire.
  • Ladle hot syrup into hot jars, leaving ¼-inch headspace.
  • Adjust lids.
  • Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
  • Remove to cool and allow to seal.
