Canned Stewed Tomatoes
 
 
Ingredients:
 
 
1 gallon peeled, cored, chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped green pepper
2 teaspoons salt
 
 
Procedure:
  • Combine all ingredients in a large pan, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Ladle hot mix into hot jars, allowing ½-inch headspace.
  • Adjust lids.
  • Process in pressure canner, pints 15 minutes, quarts, 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.
  • Remove from canner and let seal.
