While beer nuts are named to suggest they go great with beer, the unique sweet glaze makes them popular eaten alone.  This recipe contains no salt, so if you like yours salty, give them a slight dusting of salt before placing in the oven to bake.



Beer Nuts
 
Ingredients:
 
1 16-ounce jar raw peanuts

½ cup water

1 cup sugar
 
 
Procedure:
  • Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • Mix all ingredients together and boil for 15 minutes, stirring constantly
  • Spread on cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off oven and let set inside for 15 minutes.
